Belonging to Bac Yen district (Son La) and only more than 200km from Hanoi, Ta Xua attracts many tourists because of the beautiful landscape that nature bestows. Ta Xua upland commune is favored by tourists as “Cloud heaven”. Coming to Ta Xua, visitors will encounter white clouds floating, drifting over the hills, spilling down around the pass. The mountains and villages sometimes hide, sometimes appear in the sea of clouds. The beautiful natural picture in Ta Xua is considered by many tourists as “paradise on earth”. Two famous specialties in Ta Xua: ancient Shan Tuyet tea and Meo apples.

DAY 1: HANOI – TA XUA (SON LA) (L, D)
Our guide will pick you up at The Old Quarter and depart for Ta Xua. On the way, you see nice tea hills in Phu Tho.
In Ta Xua, you will have a chance to see rice terraces and “cloud paradise” . Every year, the time from October to April next year is the time when Ta Xua is cloudy. At this time, when coming to Ta Xua, you will admire the sea of white clouds floating in the valley, which is considered a “fairytale” place – a destination that tourists cannot ignore during their trip to the Northwest.
Coming to Ta Xua, visitors can also explore the hundreds of years old Shan Tuyet tea hills associated with the history, culture and lifestyle of the Mong people here. Natural tea forest, without the influence or care of the people, the trunk is full of lichens, mistletoe, and moss. In addition to admiring the ancient tea trees, visitors also experience tea picking with local people.
In the evening, you can join a campfire.
DAY 2: TA XUA (DINOSAUR SPINE) – HANOI (B, L)
The very attractive destination for tourists is the “dinosaur spine” in Hang Dong commune which is about 13 km from Ta Xua and located at an altitude of nearly 1,800 m above sea level. “Dinosaur spine” is a mountain shaped like a prostrate dinosaur, although the terrain is quite difficult, it still attracts tourists to explore and conquer. Here, if you have “charm” you can “hunt” the sea of white clouds floating in the valley. At the same time, you can also admire the typical terraced fields of the highlands in the ripe rice season or the mountainsides that grow thousands of ferns and wildflowers. If you can wake up early, this is an interesting sunrise spot.
After lunch, you will come back to Hanoi.
