Career program “Understand yourself ” 2023

We understand that the world is changing quickly, and it can be difficult to prepare for such an uncertain future. To help young people be prepared, we offer a program that takes you to Vietnam, a place where nature is still pristine, and teach basic survival skills. This program not only allows for an enjoyable experience before starting a new phase of life, but also helps to define future goals and career choices.

Today, the world is changing quickly due to global climate change, wars, natural disasters and epidemics. We can’t rely on death to come to us; we have to fight each day to survive. So, what have you done to prepare for an uncertain future? What have you learned in school to help you face it? Before things get worse, you need to gain certain skills to protect yourself and those around you. Join us in Vietnam, a place of untouched nature, to observe and learn basic survival skills. Here, you will understand the importance of living in harmony with nature and the rewards it brings to your life. This program will not only give you a wonderful experience before beginning the next phase of your life, but also help you determine what you want and what you will do in the future.

Vietnam is a great place to learn how to survive when the world changes. We offer a one-month program that will give you the skills you need to adjust and thrive. During your stay, you will be able to participate in various local activities to hone your survival skills

ITINERARY

ARRIVAL IN THE AIRPORT…………..

Upon arrival in Mù Cang Chải, the group will be welcomed at Noi Bai airport or picked up in Hanoi’s Old Quarter by bus

the culture and customs of the locals Day 1: Discovering the terraced fields

Departing from Hanoi around 7am, the group will arrive at the destination around 2pm. On the way, students will have the opportunity to admire beautiful landscapes and participate in some entertainment activities.

After arriving in Mù Cang Chải, the group will be welcomed and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, the group will participate in a program to explore the terraced fields and learn about the lives of the locals. Students will be instructed on how to grow and take care of crops, and learn about the culture and customs of the locals.

In the evening, the group will participate in a local dinner and be introduced to the typical dishes of Mù Cang Chải.

: Helping the locals repair roads and improve irrigation systems

Early in the morning, the group will participate in social activities such as helping the locals repair roads, improve irrigation systems, and build bridges. At noon, the group will return to the restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, students will be instructed on how to take care of livestock such as cutting grass for buffalo, providing food for pigs and chickens.

In the evening, the group will have free time to relax after a hard day of work

: work together with Local Hmong ethnics

After breakfast, students will continue to participate in activities on the third day in Mù Cang Chải. In the morning, we will visit cultural villages in the local area, learn about the traditions, customs, and culture of the H’Mong ethnic group. Students will be guided by local guides to better understand the lives, culture, and spirituality of the local people.

In the afternoon, we will continue to participate in farming activities. On this day, we will learn how to sow, take care of, and fertilize rice. It is one of the basic but very important tasks in agriculture. We will be instructed on the most effective way to ensure good productivity for the rice fields.

In the evening, we will have a cultural exchange with the local people. Students will participate in cultural activities such as singing folk songs, dancing the Xoe dance, and playing traditional games. This is an opportunity for students to better understand the culture of the H’Mong people, as well as creating a fun and intimate space between students and the locals.

After a long day full of activities, we will return to the guesthouse to enjoy dinner and rest.

8am: Walk to a nearby farm to learn how to herd buffalo, bathe them, clean their stalls, and take care of them.

12pm: Have lunch and chat with local people to better understand their lives and needs.

1pm: Return to the hotel, rest, and explore the surrounding area freely.

4pm: Clean up and prepare for tonight’s activity.

6pm: Join a traditional BBQ party with local people and enjoy the specialty dishes of Mu Cang Chai. Here, students will learn how to prepare and grill these specialty foods.

7am: Have breakfast and prepare for a hard day’s work in the rice fields.

8am: Walk to a nearby rice field to help local people in tasks such as harvesting rice, transporting rice, and stacking rice.

12pm: Have lunch and chat with local people to better understand the work in the rice fields.

1pm: Return to the hotel to rest and relax.

4pm: Attend a traditional cooking class of the region. Students will learn how to prepare and cook some of Mu Cang Chai’s specialty dishes.

7pm: Have dinner and freely explore the surrounding area

Relaxation and visit famous tourist destinations Day 6

After several hard-working days, today the students will rest and relax and may visit famous tourist destinations in Yen Bai, covered by fresh and peaceful air. Students can take a walk along the river, participate in outdoor games, or enjoy local dishes at restaurants.

Make the report and tell your feeling

This is the last day of the program. Before leaving Mu Cang Chai, students will participate in a farewell ceremony with local people and colleagues who worked with them during their stay. They can exchange experiences, take commemorative photos, and share their feelings about this trip.

Afterwards, they will be taken back to Hanoi. The program ends there, and we hope that the students had a meaningful and wonderful vacation in Mu Cang Chai.

14:00 Visit the local market in Thuong Nhat to buy ingredients for cooking class.

15:00 Cooking class: Learn how to cook traditional dishes of the Thai ethnic group with local ingredients. Enjoy the food that you cooked.

Day 6

7:00 Breakfast

8:30 Find purple sticky rice leaves in the village, soak rice in water (for 2 hours to absorb the purple color), then at 10:00 the group will learn how to make Lam rice with the Mường people in Da Bac. While the rice is soaking, children will cut bamboo tubes and prepare the wood-fired stove to cook Lam rice.

Enjoy Lam rice for dinner.

11:30 Have lunch with local children.

15:00 Kayak with local children in the village center.

18:00 Have dinner at the homestay (with Lam rice made in the morning).

19:00 Summarize the activities in Da Bac and learn the Mường gong dance. Perform and exchange with local children, then say goodbye to the people of Da Bia

Day 7 7:00 Breakfast. Depart for Hanoi.

12:00 Return to Hanoi.”

Depart for Thanh Hoa City to learn about the life of the people in the city in Vietnam, to find out the difference in life in the mountainous areas and in the city Day 1 “8:00 Pick up the group at the pick-up point, start the journey to Thanh Hoa (164km).

12:30 Lunch in a restaurant in Thanh Hoa City.

In the afternoon:

Students will be taken to houses by hosts. Make friend with all the members in families.

Day 2 7.00 – 8.00: Have breakfast with the host

In the morning: Learn about the life environment around.

11.30: have lunch at homestay and have a rest

In the afternoon: Learn Vietnamese with kids in host’s families

In the evening: Visit some places in the city at night

Day 3 7.00 – 8.00: Have breakfast with the host

In the morning: Can go the local market to see the local people sell and buy food, vegetables, ….

11.30: Have lunch at homestay and have a rest

18.30: Learn how to cook Vietnamese food and cook dinner with the host. Then have dinner at homestay

In the evening: Can learn Vietnamese with all the family’s members

Day 4 7.00 – 8.00: Have breakfast with the host

In the morning: Go the local market to buy something for cooking Belgian food

11.30: Have lunch at homestay and have a rest

In the afternoon: Teach English or French for kids

18.30: Teach Vietnamese host how to cook Belgian dishes, cook dinner with Belgian dishes. Then have dinner at homestay

In the morning: Visiting Thanh Hoa: World Cultural Heritage Citadel: Citadel of the Hồ Dynasty, Suoi Ca Than,…

In the afternoon: Visiting a traditional chili sauce and seasoning factory; Visiting a biological factory that processes fruit peels into washing liquid and dishwashing liquid

18.30: Have dinner at homestay

In the evening: Can learn Vietnamese with all the family’s members

Day 6 7.00 – 8.00: Have breakfast

In the morning: Experience in making a specialty in Thanh hoa: Nem chua.

11.30: Have lunch and have a rest

In the afternoon: Learn Vietnamese and teach English or French for kids.

18.30: Cooking class and cook dinner with the host. Then have dinner at homestay

In the evening: Summarize the activities in Thanh Hoa City

Day 7 8:00 Breakfast. Then pack the luggage.

In the afternoon: Depart for Hanoi.
